This annual Commemoration event brings the Cornell campus and Ithaca communities together through a series of events centered on the service, activism, and legacy of Dr. King. This year’s keynote speaker isMitchell S. Jackson, the award-winning author and filmmaker of “The Residue Years” and a prominent advocate for criminal justice reform. He is a faculty member at New York University, in addition to a fellow with TED, the Lannan Foundation, and the Bread Loaf Conference. “The Other America II” building off of King’s 1967 speech, “The Other America” at Stanford University.
