Getting Recognized for Your Accomplishments
Sometimes it can feel awkward to ask for recognition yet there are appropriate approaches to achieve success. In this session, panelists will review strategies to maximize your opportunities to be nominated for awards and honors. They will give recommendations on how to answer such questions as:
- Should I feel comfortable asking my chair?
- How do I ensure that the person writing my nomination letter knows enough about my work?
- What information is needed and appropriate to share with my nominator?
There will be time for your questions and panelists’ answers.
