Making Time to Write provides faculty with writing accountability and community as they complete work for publication, promotion and funding. All sessions are held on Zoom. Learn more.
Engaging in Public Scholarship
Publishing and engaging in public-facing research are central to faculty careers. Cornell offers opportunities, including the items below.
- Cornell’s Media Relations Office and the Cornell Chronicle staff work with faculty to publicize research;
- Cornell’s state and federal relations offices brings faculty research to policymakers;
- Cornell Media Relations Office offers media training and support for op-ed publishing; and
- Cornell Broadcast Studios provides faculty with resources for podcasts and media interviews
- Cornell Broadcast Studios suggests tips for conducting interviews at home.

Academic Book Publishing
Authors of academic books are encouraged to read “First Book Advice for Submissions,” prepared by Roger Haydon, Executive Editor at Cornell University Press.
