Professional Development Grants
Aimed to heighten the professional visibility of pre-tenure faculty, these grants fund interactions with senior colleagues at other institutions and professional training opportunities. These funds can be used for the following purposes:
- Travel to a senior colleague’s institution or to invite a senior researcher to Cornell
- Funding of professional training opportunities, e.g., training on specialized databases or equipment
Grants are generally limited to $2,000 and can be used towards travel and/or accommodations. Given the demand, more than one PDG in a fiscal year is not guaranteed and is dependent on funds availability.
