Faculty Governance

Within shared governance at Cornell, the Faculty Senate is the primary governing body for faculty while its committees address and respond to issues that affect all faculty. Senate elections and operations are organized through the Office of the Dean of Faculty (DOF), supported by the Office of the Assemblies (OA).

Participating in shared governance at Cornell helps foster an environment that genuinely supports faculty teaching and research. To learn more about the Faculty Senate and shared governance at Cornell, faculty may consult the following resources.
