Tailored to pre-tenured faculty, this session will provide tips and advice on writing NSF CAREER proposals with a particular focus on the overall proposal content as well as the educational outreach/broader impacts component. The workshop will:

  • orient you to the CAREER solicitation and its unique requirements and goals;
  • explain the Broader impacts section and the types of education and outreach programs that are successful;
  • arm you with tools from past awardees on how to shape your research and education goals, and
  • introduce you to staff resources who can help you prepare a successful proposal.
