Cornell Joins Faculty Advancement Network

Six Cornell faculty members joined the inaugural class of the Faculty Advancement Network (FAN) with 12 Ivy+ institutions committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion on their campuses.

The 2022-2023 fellows are participating in the FAN Institute on Inquiry, Equity and Leadership in the Academic Department. They attend workshops on such topics as equity-minded leadership, faculty searches and hiring, and culture and climate, and are developing tools to foster supportive and inclusive environments in their units and on campus.

Nominated by their deans the cohort was selected based on their leadership and commitment to inclusive and equitable leadership. In addition to Cornell, FAN member institutions include Brown University, Columbia University, Dartmouth College, Duke University, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Princeton University, Stanford University, University of Chicago, University of Pennsylvania and Yale.
