Mahinder Kingra, editor-in-chief, Cornell University Press, will discuss the potential of the Open Access model of publishing to make scholarship broadly available to readers around the world. He will also examine the costs of Open Access, the challenges Open Access monographs present, and the inequities of the current model of Open Access publishing. There will be time for questions and answers.
This is the final session in a six-part series, sponsored by the Provost Office of Faculty Development and Diversity and Cornell University Press, and held during the 2022-23 academic year on academic book publishing.
