The documentary, Agents of Change, examines racial conditions at Cornell in 1969 and San Francisco State University in 1968. Many of the same student demands for curricular changes, increased minority student recruitment, and the hiring of minority family are surfacing on campus today. Told through the voices of past student activists, the documentary includes rich archival footage, compelling interviews, and a dynamic soundtrack.
Following the screening, we will have a talkback session with Kofi Acree, director of the Africana Library and curator of Africana Collections, and Kenneth McClane, W.E.B. DuBois Professor of Literature Emeritus. The event will conclude with a reception. for more information, contact ofdd@cornell.edu.
