How did a small group of Cornell faculty end up working together outside their fields of specialization on Ithaca’s underground railroad? What were the circumstances that brought them together to work with their community partners? How did they fare? And, what did they learn?
These are a few of the questions that panelists, Gerard Aching, Retired W.E.B. DuBois Professor in the African Research and Studies Center and Department of Romance Studies, and Adam Smith, Distinguished Professor of Arts and Sciences, Department of Anthropology, will discuss in an informal conversation.
