Join staff from the Skorton Center for Health Initiatives in a discussion about the signs and levels of distress (concern, elevated, and emergency) faculty may notice in their students and corresponding response options. Additionally, participants will learn when and how to ask directly about suicide and that asking directly does not increase the risk that the person will act on these thoughts. The session will also cover the importance of encouraging help-seeking behaviors and will review campus, local, and national resources for mental health support.
